Lullaby, O Lullaby,

My Baby sweet and dear,

A star shines bright above Thy head,

Thy Mother watches near.

Around Thee hover angel wings,

And soft and low Thy Mother sings,

O Lulla-lulla-by.

 

Lullaby, O Lullaby,

My Baby sweet and dear,

A Cross lies shadowy at Thy feet,

My heart is filled with fear.

But Thou has come great joy to bring,

Redeemed man Thy praise shall sing,

So Lulla-lulla-by.
