18. Eighteenth Carol
The snow doth fall
On the cot and hall
On the mansion and the slum;
So soft and white
On this holy night
When angels come.
Angels come
From their heavenly home
To the earth with wonderful news
That God most fair
In a stable bare
Was born for Jews.
On earth is joy
For the Holy Boy
Is the Saviour of mankind:
And let us then
Give our thanks again
For God so kind!
Sung by WAITS in Operetta ‘A stocking for the snowman’
