04. Fourth Carol
I know not where is Bethlehem
Nor where that stable poor
Which was the birthplace of the Lord
With oxen at the door.
I know not where is Nazareth
Which was my Saviour’s home,
Nor where he worked as carpenter
Before the Call did come.
I know not where the shepherd lad
Heard angels singing far;
I know not wher the Wise Men three
Behend the lovely star.
But this I know, that Jesus Christ
Was once a child like me
And had a Mother and Father, too,
That loved Him dearly.
I know He loves all children, now,
And cares for what they do;
Since I love both my parents, you see,
I think I’ll love him too!
