02. Second Carol
Jesus was a little baby,
Little baby – just like me;
I was born in wealthy home,
He was born in poverty;
I have a bed, which He had not;
A cold rough manger was His cot!
He no toys had – I have many;
And His gifts so funny were;
I have dolls and blocks; but He –
Gold and frankincense and myrrh;
Oh, I should like to give Him mine,
And say to Him, ‘Lord, these are Thine!’
Jesus is my Elder Brother
Though His face I cannot see,
Though He lived long years ago
We are of one family;
Oh, Jesus, may I love Thee more,
And, growing, worship and adore!
