29. Awake
Awake to life and feel its pulse
Beating from the heart to brain,
Teeming in the earth,
Streaming out from birth;
Throbbing in all beauty, joy and pain,
Awake! Let mirth convulse
And laughter shake.
No bird
Unheart,
No melody unsung
On deaf ears flung,
The trees know nithing else,
The streams and hill,
The whole creation
Knows such elation…
Be young, be young,
Awake!
